There are two small garbage cans in the kitchen cupboard to the right of the sink as well as one in the washroom. Please dispose of all garbage into the black bins in the woodshed before you leave. All cans and bottles should be placed in the large recycling bin in the woodshed before you leave. Please burn paper and cardboard in the campfire pit.
Well water services the cabin. It has been tested and is safe to drink. Across the lake at Berford Lake Park is an artisian well that the locals also enjoy.
Toilet paper, towels (beach, shower, paper,hand), toiletries, pillows, sheets, fishing tackle or bait.
LAUNDRY
HOUSEKEEPING COTTAGE
HEATING & COOLING
There is a washer and dryer available in the garage for your use. We ask that you only use these if completely necessary. Please be reasonable.
This is considered a housekeeping cottage which means that you are expected to clean up behind yourself. There will be a final check list provided in the cottage for the end of your stay. I will clean toilets, floors and windows after you leave but you are expected to return everything you use to its proper spot.
There is a mini-split in the cottage to provide necessary heat or cooling. You are welcome to use the fireplace but we ask that you not adjust the damper as it will fill the cottage with smoke. The bunkie has an electric heater and separate air conditioning unit. Please do not run when you are not in the bunkie.
FIREWOOD
There are hardwood logs and kiln dried scraps from our shop in the wood shed you are weclome to use on the Iron Embers campfire pit.
COMPOST
There is a compost bin beside the well and forest. We encourage you to use it but check for skunks prior.
INTERNET
Starlink is available.
Login and password provided at arrival.
DECK CANOPY
WHAT IS NOT PROVIDED
You'll find a tv and dvd player in the garage and a cupboard full of various kids movie. Especially helpful in the event of rain.
In the event of rain there is a pop up canopy in the garage that can be screwed to the deck.
COMING WITH AN INFANT?
There are two pack & plays and a highchair stored in the garage. One pack & play is brown and fits well between the beds in the first room. The black one is larger. The first bedroom has a dresser that flips into a change table (pad in loft of second room, cover in dresser drawer).
